Porsche 993 911

The 993 brought a multi-link rear suspension that finally tamed the lift-off behaviour of earlier cars, a six-speed manual, and the first twin-turbo 911 with all-wheel drive. It is widely held to be the most resolved air-cooled 911 Porsche built.

It is also the generation the market has decided is collectible, so expect prices well above the 996 and 997 that followed it. Condition and specification matter enormously; there is no cheap way into a good one.
